SPECIAL NEEDS:
- Ashley Hickey: POTTY TRAINING http://www.successfulpottytraining.net/: Ashley Hickey has been potty training children with Autism Spectrum Disorders since 2001. After receiving a B.A, she was trained at the Emory Autism Center at Emory University. She worked at the Emory Autism Center for 6 years, as a teacher and family consultant. She also participated in Diagnostic Evaluations & is trained in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Incidental Teaching and Discrete Trial. Ashley has potty trained children both typically developing and with Autism Spectrum Disorders. In addition to being a full time mom and a potty training specialist, she is currently working toward becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Creative Minds LLC: Three special education teachers with certificates of advanced studies in consultation, colaboration and administration. - Dina Rose: IT's Not About Nutrition, The Art & Science of Teaching Kids To Eat Right www.dinarose.net Dina R. Rose has a PhD in sociology from Duke University. She has over 15 years experience in teaching and research. Just as importantly, she is also a mother and a foodie. Dina became interested in understanding how parents teach their children to eat when her daughter was born in 2001. Then, four years ago, Dina began researching, systematically observing and interviewing parents on this topic. Now she is writing a book called It’s NOT About Nutrition: The Art & Science of Teaching Kids to Eat Right. Dina also teaches parents strategies from the book though workshops and individual coaching.
